Fuel computer data error on my 2004 Ford Expedition after I changed the fuel pump

You could try resetting the on-board computer. Remove the hot going into the battery (Red cable or +) and touch it to the (Negative or -) side with the red + cable for 5 seconds.

This resets the computer and erases all previous information stored. Then drive the car for bit to allow the computer to reacquire all the information it needs for normal operation.

I replaced my fuel pump on my 2000 windstar and it reads fuel data error why will it not start and why wont that go off or fuel system data error

Check for a inertia switch. It is designed to shut off the fuel in case of a rear end emergency. It is possible that the inertia switch was tripped .

My husband pulled our 2000 Lincoln up on ramps today to check underneath car and as soon as he got it up the brake light, abs light, fuel computer data error,no trip mileage no actual miles engine sensor...

Sound like you need a Ford dealer scan? A battery can short out and cause problems, but if it's start6ing, it probably isn't a shorted battery. don-ohio

Tach data error and engine temp data error lights are on, engine wont turn over, but acts like it wants to start.... what do i do?!

you say the engine won't turn over yet it acts like it wants to start which sounds like it is turning over. Please clarify. If it is turning over but not actually starting it could be related to the temp data error. for most cars the two main sensors for fuel delivery are the oxygen sensor and the engine temp sensor. It would help you alot to get a scanner to read the computer. this would reveal a code which says where the problem really is. good luck

What idoes a fuel computer data error mean?

The system has a problem in the network.....there are a few modules or computers that interact to control and keep track of everything. In your case, looks like there's a problem in the REM (Rear Electronic Module) and the instrument panel.....or an intermittent fuel sender.
Do suggest to take it to a competent shop, or the dealer....mis-diagnosis in those setups could reeeeaaally get expensive.
There is only one pump in the LS - the other saddle tank has a funny looking fuel pickup and sender - so the one pump does both sides - feeding and balancing between them. As long as you are careful - you do not have to drop the gas tank- on the LS. All the connections are at the top of the pump and you can get to them in plain site, the fuel sender and pump can both be accessed by removing the back seat. Good luck and hope this helps
