Question about 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
Curise is not working and transmission not shifting are the two related
Yes and no. If the trans is not in the proper gear the cruise will not work. Does the light come on for the cruise? If it does then there is nothing wrong with it. If your trans is not shifting right you will want to get it fixed before you do other damage.

There is no fill plug on transmission pans, you have to fill them from the
dipstick tube in the engine bay. Get a long funnel that will fit into the
dipstick tube hole, and then fill it that way. Make sure you turn the
vehicle on while filling it, and put it through all the gears, with your foot
on the brake. This will make sure your torque convertor is being properly
filled, along with the trans. Good luck.
