1992 Toyota previa fuel pump cutoff switch

This make and model doesn't have a fuel pump cut off switch, the switch is only activated by an impact of 3 G's or more on cars and trucks that do use the switch. Spray starting fluid into the air intake of the engine, if it doesn't start you do not have a fuel pressure problem. Lots of things can keep a car engine from starting, you never mention any tests for fuel pressure or spark or proper valve timing (cam drive belt broken or jumped)

99 ram with 5.2 wont start, good fuel pressure on rail, good spark. no engine codes any ideas

You have fuel pressure but is the fuel being injected? Do this, get a can of spray starting fluid from the parts store or a hardware store, spray into the engine air intake, if the truck starts and then stalls out you have no fuel being injected. Also make sure when the engine is cranked that the engine computer (ECM) is getting power, you could have a problem with the starter motor switch, this is the electrical switch the ignition key actuates.

My fuel was running on reserve i was going to put some more fuel in at the petrol station and the car cut out and stopped. A local garage towed it away and checked the fuel tank by removing the pump they...

you ended with the fuel pump will need changing the crank sensor???? what is this? it all sounds like the fuel pump is bad and needs changed. did this happen. there is a way to tell if this is what is wrong. you buy a can of starter fluid ( under $5 ) and spray it into the air box while someone is trying to start the engine. you open the air box and spray into the tube leading to the motor. if all else is ok the motor will fire and run as long as you keep spraying the starter fluid. when you stop the engine should stop. this is a good test for the fuel pump. what does the crank sensor have to do with it? Not to say the two could never quit at the same time but they are not related.
good luck and get back with me if i can help more.

Car turns over but does not start. it seems like fuel is not getting to the throttle body.

Spray starter fluid in the throttle body, turn it over to run. If it starts up and cuts off, you have a clogged filter or fuel pump bad. open the gas cap and have someone turn on (not over to run) and listen at the gas neck for a pump to turn on. I would change the fuel filter first, and go from their.

Engine turns over fine , car will not start.

well the first part of your question i was all ready to tell you to put a new fuel pump in, now not so sure, there is a relay for fuel pump, can you hear pump cycle and relay click? relay under hood you will have to listen close they don't run long maybe a couple secounds, if you don't relay bad. if you do pump could be bad, do fuel pressure test pump could be weak. don't think sunroof and turn signals are related, but stranger things have happend.
