FROM WHAT I JUST HEARD ON THE VIDEO ,IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR ENGINE NEEDS TO BE TUNED-UP . IF THE ENGINE IS NOT PROPERLY TUNED THE TRANSMISSION WILL NOT WORK AS ITS SHOULD .THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION WORK INSINK WITH EACH OTHER ,SO HAVE THE ENGINE EVALUATED BEFORE CONDEMMING THE TRANSMISSION .THEN PROCEED TO TEST THE TRANSMISSION .EG, STALL TESTING AND SHIFTING PATTERN .

I suspect the timing is off since timing belt replacement was mentioned. The altitude would be read by the various sensors in the engine and computer and would be compensated accordingly.
