SOURCE: low beam not working but high beam is-Pontiac Vibe 2005

I have heard it could be the Daylight Running Light module located under the dash above the brake pedal. The module controls both the daytime running lights and the low beam lights. The high beams are independent of this module.

I have the same problem. I am trying to buy a new module.

SOURCE: My low beam headlights will not come on. I

I am going thru the same issue right now. We have replaced the Relay and the Comination switch. - Neither have fixed the problem. We have pinpointed though that we are not getting any voltage to the two fuses (right and left) in the BCM (relay panel). Could be a bad broken wire or a bad BCM... I'll keep you posted.

Low beam headlight won't work with a new bulb

Remove the affected headlight and replace the headlight socket on the wiring harness. I've had to do this for both headlights. It's a design flaw by GM and cheap parts. The connectors are not insulated and oxidize. You have to place them with aftermarket ones. Simply pull out the wiring harness and snip the wires, use electrical wire twists to connect the new socket. Reessemble and you'll be good.

Someone would need to check for voltage output on the dimmer switch for low and high beam.

Minimal low beams on one side, no high beams on one side subaru

What year and model is your subaru ?

Is it a singe ground issue? Fuse? ?????????? Without doing some testing we would be just guessing. You need to test the electrical circuit to know for sure . Voltage drop testing !

You need a wiring diagram so you know what wires to test . Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. Year , make , model and engine size . Under system click on lighting ,then under subsystem click head lamps . Click the search button then the blue links. Look at the wiring diagram to see what all is involved in making the head lamps work .

1998 Lincoln Town Car passenger side headlight low beam only.

Hi Steven, I guess you have checked the fuses? Some time (and I'n not saying this is your problem) the fuses are wired in such a way that if one blows (and the fuse is on the earth side of the circuit) there will be an output, but the circuit will either use the earth through the the other bulb or fail to earth. I would also suggest having a look at the relays and their operation. Lastly, check the earth connections again. Regards John

I have a mazda 6 that has a headlight problem, low beams do not work and high beams do. It started with one light goning out and next time i started the car the second one went out. Also front makers went...

if your vehicle has H4 headlight bulbs fitted you will find that they have both high & low beam filaments in them, what has most likely happened is that the low beam filaments are blown & the bulbs need to be replaced, also you may find that high & low beam circuits are on separate fuses, & also the front markers may have there own fuse check the fuses as well.......hope this helps......cheers.

My exterior low beam lights won't come on and I have changed them.

Check for voltage at the plug in the back of lights...
If you have voltage, its the bulb.
If you don't have voltage...then check the fuses.
GM has low beam and high beam fuses.

Hope this helps...

My headlights don't work, but the brights do. What caused this and how can I fix it?

Every headlamp has a bulb inside that has two filaments one for high beam and the other one for low beam, if any of those filament is cut then that beam (High or low) won't work. If your high beam work then your fuse it's ok, so you can visually inspect your headlights bulbs for broken filaments. remove bulb socket and remove the bulb carefully to inspect the filaments. if the filaments are atacched from one terminal to the other then the bulb it's ok, if not replace the bulb.
