SOURCE: how to replace a headlight bulb for a 2007 jetta?

look in engine bay behind the headlights, there should be a plastic cover with wires running into it, remove the cover which will expose the back of the light and the plastic square plug which is connected to the back of the halogen bulb, pull the square plastic wire block off the back of the bulb, you will see two spring type clips which hold the bulb into the back of the light, you have to press down slightly and pull towards the centre then release it and it will now be loose, do the same to the other spring and remove the bulb, replacement is reverse of the removal process
Hope this helps you

You can rent the caliper compression tool from O'rielly's auto parts and compress the piston. I did it and it was very easy and made changing the pads a breeze.

My 12V outlet went out and of course looking at my manual it was not giving the right location. After trying the different empty slots I discovered that the 12 V outlet fuse for my 2007 VW Jetta Wolfsburg was 6 rows down and 3 slots over. I hoped this helps someone else from the headaches of searching for it

Sorry Robert, I am not a Volkswagen guy.

The best I can do is give you a link to a parts diagram for the rear bumper. Maybe this can help you determine what still needs to be removed.

http://www.volkswagenpartsamerica.com/parts/2011/VOLKSWAGEN/JETTA/?siteid=216129&vehicleid=1501030&diagram=9283835&diagramCallOut=1

you may want to try a guy named Collin Strickland on this sight. Is is a European/german guy and may be able to shed some light on your dilemma.
