I am going to ask a dumb question....do you have it in neutral and the brake mashed when you switch to 4WD LOW? I believe that is what my book says to do.

SOURCE: how to replace a headlight bulb on 2006 f 150

they are replaced from inside the engine compartment at the rear of the headlight bazals. if it's the side the battery is on you will likely have to remove it first.

SOURCE: 1998 Ford F-150 won't start w/ the key, but will w/ remote start.

Always verify that there are no aftermarket devices causing interference, such as alarms, remote starters or other devices utilizing transponders. Devices that power up the PCM without powering up the PATS Control module can experience no-start concerns. It is probbally a key issue depending on the PATS system in that truck you may have to have more than one key coded into the transponder. Try you spare key.

I bought a 1999 Acura Integra & the seller didn't tell me about the kill switch. How do I get rid of the kill switch?

you need to find the kill switch and remove the wires from the switch and attach them together if it is a 2 wire switch, lights dimming on break application is due to a short in the wires, common problem with integras 94-2001

Truck wont turn over

I would say start by seeing if your battery is good cheapest and easiest way is to turn head lights on if the come on you have power .... then with headlights still on try to start the truck if the lights do not dim at all then your start relay is probly to blame if it clicks and the lights dim I would have to point at the starter

97 Ford Ranger lights and Eng. Problems

You are probably correct in your assumption even though it does seem unlikely - your description indicates a possible short between the running/parking lights and the engine management system or perhaps between the those and the reverse lights.

These are circuits that should have little relationship between them. It could be worth checking the tail lights/bulbs/wiring/grounds.

If nothing obvious seems wrong it would be wise to check the relationship between those circuits with a wiring diagram. Experience tells me the fault is likely to be simple and perhaps ground-related...

Good luck!

Lights on my 1996 ford f-150

something is poorly wired. if someone did work on it before this problem started, have it looked at by them and see if they screwed it up. if this came up on its own, get it checked out by a ford dealer as they will have the proper wiring diagrams to fix your problem.

My dads truck isnt working an i think may be some main fuze

i will suggest to check the fuses and relays first before opening up your f-150, becuase it looks that you have a bad relay
that's the easiest cheapest way,
also seems that you have a bad brake switch, that switch allows you to turn the shifter to drive, when you turn it on it locks, but without power is open, try that and let me know
