Question about 1990 Ford F150
I am building a AMRA mud race truck and need as much room under the hood as possible. I want to loose the brake booster for more room and also to be able to run the headers through the hood. I am unsure of the parts I will need to change to keep the braking as sufficient as possible. Your help with part descriptions and part numbers would be greatly appreciated.
Maybe relocating the power brake booster would be easier and cheaper? An old hot rodder trick is to put the booster beneath the floorboard, just changing the pedal to go through the floor instead of the firewall. This assumes you have the room there, but with headers through the hood, there should be plenty of space between the frame rails to accomplish this mod.

You will need a manual brake master cylinder, and maybe manual brake wheel cylinders in the rear if they are different. However, I don't think we offered manual beakes in 1990, only power brakes.
