Question about 1993 Chevrolet C3500
I cannot get it into gear. The clutch pedal is in its normal position, but it moves freely to the floor with no resistance when I step on it.
Also, would you happen to know what the instrument beneath the starter is? I had to take it out to get the starter out. (I put it back, though.)
If it had 2 bolt studs with nut on the other end ando line going to the top of the transmission it is the slave cylinder and you have to line the rod inside to the fork inside the bellhousing if this is on the bleed the clutch cylinder and the pedal should return to normal. Be sure to check for leaks in this line even a little leak can cause you not to have a clutch pedal. Also check inside the cab behind the clutch pedal where the rod comes through the firewall and make sure it is not leaking. If the fluid is low be sure to fill it with DOT 3 brake fluid.
