Question about 1990 Mercury Grand Marquis
Sometimes have to jump the car to get it started and then it may die after only moving 5-6 feet. Battery and Alternator are both good.
Have you checked the positive connection from battery to starter? this connection has another feed that runs the rest of the car. Its either loose or corroded. Take battery terminals off and soak in baking soda, water and 2 drops of dishwashing detergent. If any corrosion is present this mixture will foam and remove your corrosion.
Its odd that car dies Are you sure you do not have a dead cell in the battery?
