I have to push the break peddle all the way to the flood and it's still hard to stop do I need break fluid or break pads??or something else? Please help ford taurus

I would start by checking brake fluid. However if it's that low, it's leaking somewhere and should be repaired. If the pads are due, you'll hear a squeel or if there really bad grinding.

2011 sonata won't start

It's a recall issue the dealer will fix for free! Bad break switch/sensor. Pump the pedal really HARD as you press the start button. She'll start for you unless you've let it go so long the switch is totally shot!

My breakpadel is hard an my break light is on could it be n the wireing cuz form time to time the breaks do work thow

check the vacuum line to the booster for leaks a loss of vacum will cause hard breaking listen closely for a hissing sound when aplying breaks if you hear this when breaks are hard to press you will probably need a new booster.

I just got a new used 1995 honda accord and already i'm really unhappy. The gears stick terribly and the breaks... you have to push down really hard and they don't break fast. What can i do about the gears...

the gears are sticking? is the shifter just really tight and hard to move from one gear to the next, or even just wiggle around in neutral? if so, you may need new bushings for it. which are not very expensive. IF the shifter wiggles around easily in neutral, but hangs in a gear when you press the clutch in all the way, you could need a clutch, OR hopefully you can just try bleeding the clutch line. at the master cylinder on the transmission. the breaks.... do you have to push the pedal down really hard, or really soft and far? if you're putting a lot of pressure on the pedal but you don't have to push the brake pedal all the way to the floor, that would indicate to me that your pads and rotors are glazed over. you should replace the rotors, pads and have the calipers checked, and have the brakes bled. if you've got to push the pedal all the way to the floor, there's a good chance all you'll need is to have the brakes bled.

2002 Grand Prix GT - When applied the breaks work

ABS pump may be faulty. Quite common, that is the exact reason I always remove the fuse under the hood for all my ABS. on all cars. I don't trust them.

1986 mercury cougar break problems. It sounds like there is air in the breaks so they told me i had to "bleed the breaks." I most recently heard that now it could be a bigger problem involving the break...

If the peddle is really hard then it sounds like the booster but the hose the goes to the booster has a check valve it if it fails it can cause the same problem. If you here air when you step on the brake then the booster may have failed inside.

Brakes brake pedal is hard to push

Chk. to see if you got vacume to break booster, If there is than i would say the booster is bad. When you have to push hard on break peddel means either the booster is bad or there is no vacume to booster. I really don't understand the secound part of your question, Do you mean there are no bleeders on the rear breaks? or you can't get fluid to bleeders in the rear? If you can't get any fluid to the rear breaks, you could have a master cyl. problem too.

4x4 stack

Usually they are a little hard to move. Usually not bad from 2hi to 4hi but to 4low can be hard. It will be easier to shift if the transmission is in neutral.

I HAVE A 1998 dodge ram 318 1500 two wheel drive the abs and brake light come on but it brakes fine when the brake light and abs light go out i have to really push the pedal down to stop the petal feels...

you need to check the break fluid level now
i do think it is too late tho
what it sounds like is air in your break system
you need to bleed the breaks not doing so can damage the break booster
you need to add fluid to the booster now as it will help and may not need bleeding
if you keep driving the way it is you may loose your breaks all together which is a danger to you and others
you need to have this attended asap it is not a hard job or expensive job
when you put fluid in the car pump the breaks every time you need to or they get soft this forces the fluid through the pips altho the air may have no where to escape which is why we bleed them to let the air out
hope this helps
