Hard start after warm up

I have a 1998 GMC Sonoma with the 4 cylinder engine/auto transmission. It starts great when it`s cold but after it warms up and you shut it off and restart it again, it cranks for about 10 second or so before it fires up.It cranks fine but it seems like it `s not getting any gas for a while. After it fires it runs great.Right now it`s just a nousence but I`m afraid if I just let it go it will sooner or later let me down. What do you think? Any thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks for your time and patience! Paul

Thanks pierre,I did try pressing down on the throttle a little, but it started harder and seemed to load up(engine rpm`s built up slowly before taking off like it was flooding)I really didn`t pay any attention if it blew black smoke.I will try again soon to see what happens and let you know.I don`t drive it every day. I did put new plugs and wires on it and it didn`t help any.Think it could be the pressure regulater or fuel pump going bad?

Check Fuel preassure. There is a video on youtube where you can learn how to do it. Also check for any vacuum leaks. Run the engine at 1200 rpms or so. Spray staring fluid over evrry vacuum hose you can find. Or gasket. Where the engine revs up . There is your leak. Repair leak.

1997 GMC Sonoma with 4 cyl engine. The truck runs great, but after the engine warms up, the oil pressure drops to around 12 from 50 when cold. is this the oil pump and how do i change?

Depending on oil type (IE: synthetic, etc) this is normal. If using conventional oil then I'd be concerned. To replace oil pump you'll need to remove pan and it is bolted to lower part of engine.

1998 gmc sonoma 2.2L when motor is warm it is hard to start-floods- start good when cold

Check the fuel pressure regulator. Pull the vac line after it is warm and see if it is leaking gas into the vac line.

1998 gmc sonoma air conditioner - not cold

Check the magnetic clutch is engaged on front of a/c pump, have the motor running, a/c on and fan on high, if the centre hub is static the pump in not switched on, this can happen when the gas pressure gets low.
