Under the steering column there is a small plastic piece that can be removed from the lower cover. Remove that piece. the hole will be big enough to put your finger in. If you look you will see the park lock cable where it attaches to the ignition lock cylinder housing. Push/pull lightly on that. It will move in one direction. As soon as you feel it move turn the key to the off position.

Your ignition is bad, or your key might be worn out if you have more then one you might try that. Other wise you will have to replace the ignition switch.

Yes when you replaced the batteries in the FOB this will have cleared the system identification for the keys.
So have these reset to your vehicle and then you will have no problems.
