Check/ inspect. ..
the battery voltage, should be 12 volts
the battery connections, should be nice and tight and free from corrosion
the wiring to the starter motor/ solenoid,
the main earth wire attached to the car chassis.
If applicable check your alarm system or immobilizer is working correctly
if applicable and obviously take the car out of gear / drive and put in neutral. ( automatic transmissions won't start unless in the neutral position.
turn the headlights off.
be sure your turning the key all the way to to start position.
check dose the motor turn over manually (siezed)
dose the starter motor make a clicking sound? this is the solenoid trying to engage.
(try push starting/ jump starting the car)
remove starter motor and replace or recondition

I have a 2001 ford f550 7.3 when I turn key the motor wont turn but if I lift hood use a screw driver to starter solenoid it starts wat do I do plz help

You need to replace the starter solenoid. It's best to do the starter and solenoid as a package, saves extra work down the road.

may be starter, just pull the starter off and take it to an auto parts store and they can test it.

Starter spins but dose not turn over

If you can hear it spin(starter), but not actually hear the motor turning over or trying to crank/start..... Sounds like starter not engaging-Replace starter. Small possibility flywheel is damaged, but less likely.

Car turns over as if the battery is dead but battery is good. replaced solenoid and still barly turns over. dose not have enuff power to start motor.

If the starter is dragging,or have problems turning the engine over,or just does not do anything, then the starter is the problem, unless there is no voltage from the ignition getting to the starter.

Well first my coolant light keeps coming on and there is nothing wrong then the air conditioner system doesn't work anymore. Then all of a sudden 1 minute my car is running the next minute I can't get it...

You have a few problems but first i must ask are you loosing coolant
Dose the temp gauge show overheating.
Dose the engine turn over now and before you fitted the new battery and starter motor
AND are you or any one you know on Skype

The best way to turn over the engine is from the bottom pulley IS the battery good if so dose it turn it over at all ,,if not only a clunk then take out the starter motor But first remove either battery term ..
then turn over with a big scewdriver in the flywheel teeth and turn either way ,,and if turns ok you need a starter motor if not then you need a motor
Sorry mate.

Audi 100cs does not crank and does not start

If you have acess to a mutimeter check the batery voltage. Should be around 12.5 volts. also check batery voltage when trying to crank engine. Should drop to 9volts while cranking. If it dose but engine dose not turn over you know power is still going to the starter motor but its just not turning. This could be a bad conection in the starter some where.if voltage dose not drop you know power is not reaching the starter motor. this could be a bad earth to the starter from the baterty somewhere. But also listen for clunking or clicking noices while cranking which would surgest the starter is trying to turn. try this before doing any other diagnostics.hope this helps
