SOURCE: SPEED GAUGE DON'T WORK CORRECTLY
The speedometer in the dash operates off of an electrical signal that it receives from a sensor that is attached to the transmission. There is either a bad connection at the sensor or the sensor is bad. You should not need to disturb the dashboard.

there is a computer chip in your key this is not actually a chip but in the ignition its self has thin white security wires and one of them is braking if you take your car to the shop they will tell you it will cost around 300.00 to fix but the new ignition will cost you around 100 dollars and to get the new key made you will have to take new key the dealer and buy new key with chip in it this will cost around 85 dollars so all and all it will cost you 185 and time and energy of course Tools needed Wheel puller, backing plate compressor , snap ring pliers, Philips head screw driver. Long story short pull wheel and change ignition cylinder get new key made at dealer

You'll need to have the codes read from the computer. You will have a code that indicates one of the front wheel sensors is bad. This could be the case, but they are very expensive as they are built into the wheel bearing assemblies. It is more likely that the wiring harness between the frame and the part of the front spindle that holds the harness, has broken internally. It is a very common problem and can be repaired with a new wiring harness section or by tracking down the fault and repairing it.
