When they do not work turn the key to the run position, the vehicle does not need to be running, and the wipers set to high speed whack the wiper motor with the handle end of a large screwdriver. if the motor starts to work replace it.

SOURCE: my 93 jeep wrangler speedometer stopped working on

Check the connection to the speed sensor gear. It will be a cable plugged into the output shaft on the top of the transfer case (behind the transmission). It is possible that it became disconnected or has a broken wire.

SOURCE: my 92 jeep wranglers windshield wipers stopped working

the wiper needs to be tighten some more, there is a nut that holds the wiper to the motor tight that nut.

How does the soft top of a 93 jeep wrangler come off the track of the windshield ?

  • I have a 93 Wrangler and there are no snaps like later models over the windshield. You remove the rear window and side windows. Pull out the top at the rear where it slides under the retaining flanges. Pull down on the bows and that relieves the tension so the top will come out of the windshield flange. From there you can take it off or fold it down.

I am having the same problem on my 08 wrangler sahara unlimited. I was told it was because of a loose battery connection. I checked and the connections are fine.

Windshield wipers stop working. I can hear the motor running but blades wont turn. Where is the motor and components located and is this a motor problem ?

It sound like something is jammed, or slippeed out of place. Remove the section the is between your hood and windshield (where the wipers stick out) and have a look at what is going on.

1998 Jeep Wrangler Electrical Short in Steering Column?

I had a similar problem with my 2000 Jeep TJ and I found the problem in the wiring harness under the hood.several wires were corroded and almost burnt off.If you remove the black tape which keeps the harness bundled together and if you see evidence of "green" type powder or "gook" it's most likely where the wires have faulted.
