what area of the car does it come from? it could be any of the engine pulleys and hopefully not but could be the rods knocking inside the engine

Have the car exorcised at once!
Seriously, it sounds to me like you've managed to dislodge something while doing your audio work - or even inadvertently left behind a small tool; there, it could roll onto components and short across several components/gauges. I think you should carefully retrace your work and make sure nothing was dislodged or left behind!
Good luck; let me know how you get on!

the dash voltage egulator probably went bad. First, check the battery & make sure you have 12 volts, not running. Check it again running & you should see about 14.5 volts. If that's good,I'd replace the guage assembly.

sounds like a ride controll compressor if your car has air ride controll it will have a compressor
check the fan for bad blades and chips also check the fan housing for missing hold downs and screws also for clearences and if loose or out of mounts

Testimonial: "Oh okay I bought a new fan assembly because the old fans where bad. I think that was it. Thanks so much !!"
Agreed with yogegoy,
Old days are gone , on diagnostics without scaner you have small chances to find the problem .
But you can check basics - Spark(you said it's ok) , timing(timing belt can jump a tooth or two), fuel delivery (disconnect fuel hose and crank the engine, if flow is strong - ok) .
Also I think on those cars throttle is electronicly controled unit , so it needs adaptation after replacement with apropriate tool (scaner).
