Windshield wipers won't work after removing battery to get to the windshield wiper pump that squirts fluid to clean windshield

The windshield wiper fluid was not coming out of the two little sprayers and we disconnected the battery to get to the pump that sprays the windshield wiper fluid and since doing that, now the windshield wipers will not work at all. What can I do to fix this problem?

Sometimes disconnecting the battery does more damage then you want it might have trip a fuse or relay check those if thats not it, maybe wiper motor or transmission went out.

Make sure you have RE-CONNECTED all the leads, usually two on many vehicles.

SOURCE: 2000 Saturn LS, windshield wipers park in the

The wipers are parking in the middle because the timing mechanism is off. Once they start doing this it seems to continue to happen so the 1st suggestion is to replace the wiper motor. If U don't want to spend the $ right now it's a pretty easy fix to reset the timing. Park the wipers & remove the wiper arms. Then remove the plastic cowling that covers the wiper motor & the motor assembly. Turn the wiper assembly over without turning the motor. Remove the nut on the arm of the motor. Repostion the arm pointing away from the closet wiper directly inline with the short arm. reassemble.

two separate switches normally have two separate fuses.voltage drop test wiper ground.also check switch output at different speeds. this vehicle may have control module and/or relay by itself or with the module. if output is at switch, intermediate component is the problem.

well the good thing is you know the wipers work !! , I would start by seeing if the washer squirters work when using the Wiper lever . and I would also see if it worked on fast speed and slow speeds . If it does you may have a wiper switch that has gone bad ! ,

My 2006 Dodge Dakota windshield washer fluid does not spray. I checked the washer pump and it works. The fuses are all good. And the wipers work. When I press the windshield washer button inside the truck...

If the pump works, something should be flowing thru the hose to the spray nozzles.
And if the pump works, everything electrical is working.
How do you know the pump works ?

Windshield wiper fluid does not squirt out

go to a service station with an air compressor and with the air turned down to about 20 lbs blow into the washer top small hole to force fluid thru the hoses, not a lot of pressure so you blow hoses off or rupture something

My windshield wipers work but I cant squirt windshield cleaner

it's likely the tiny motor/pump located at the bottom of the tank that has failed. to confirm this have some turn on the washer fluid switch and test for voltage at the pump. there are several aftermarket pumps you can use as a replacement.

Windshield wiper fluid pump not working

Pump usually located at the bottom of tank.If not, follow hose...pump will be nearby. To check, remove hose at pump and then activate it. If fluid squirts out, check hoses and squirt nozzles for obstructions. If nothing comes out check screen for pump inside tank.

Windshield fluid squirter doesn't work - 99 Maxima

I would first test your washer pump ( squirter) by a 12 volt source such as battery take 2 wires one for negative and one for positive leads from your battery or other source of 12 volts to the leads on your pump if pump is bad it will not run, you can bypass the switch in the same manner only remove the switch connectors from switch and apply the power to your car connection. Windsheild Wiper Fluid will not squirt on windshield

While you were filling the tank you may have disconnected the pump wires. If you can hear the pump activating when you use the switch then the pump may have gotten clogged , check for sediment in the tank.  For the person with the mustang - if its only coming out of one side then its a nozzle clogged or a pinched hose.
