Question about 1997 Chrysler Concorde
We just bought a car and we think the water pump is out, the car runs good there is no knocking , it blows out clear smoke, and overheats, but if you leave the radiater cap off a little, it does not overheat or smoke, so we think the water pump is not working
You should take it to a shop and have a pressure test done on it. If it's a 3.3, it only takes about 30 min. to put a water pump on. If it's a 3.5 style engine, you have to take the timing cover off to replace the water pump. You also have to replace the timing belt.
