SOURCE: I have a 1966 Mustang. 200 six cyl, auto. PROBLEM

Check to see if you have Power at the coil when the ignition is in the run position. Try to put the points on High cam so the points do not burn when you do this test. Also see if your Rotor is turning. You could have a broken timing chain or sheared off a Drive pin in the Distributor gear.

Check your Polarity at the coil. I do not see a new condenser as a replaced part, try a new one. Would be interested in knowing what you found.

Position no 1 plug wire on distributor cap 300 6 cyl ford

Quick easy check, is to remove No 1 spark plug, rotate engine by hand to bring No1 piston to T.D.C, (with valves rocking ) remove dissy cap and check position of rotor, the segment of the dissy cap that the rotor is pointing at will be No 1 Cheers

have you put a new set of plug wires on it. use a spark plug tester, and put it between plug wire and dist, cap. if it is sparking you will see it. if yes and not to plugs put on new plug wires. good-day ! if above checks out. remove dist, cap and see if shaft of dist, is turning. some of the hondas have a plastic type drive gear on bottom of dist, shaft. that goes bad.

I removed my distributor from my ford inline 6 cylinder engine but I forgot to mark the location. How do I put it back in the right position, and how do I find TDC?

this is the way i do all my cars and trucks
take off the coil wire and the dist cap, take out #1 plug
have someone help you, place your finger over #1 plug hole but not in the cylinder but over it,
have your helper tunk the key and turn over the motor just a tunk as in maybe 1/8 of a turn keep tunking it until the compression pushes out your finger your at #1 so look at the rotor button of where it is pointing and mark it on the dist then put the cap back on and place #1 plug wire on the post where you marked it

Replace the spark plugs and wires along with a distributor cap and rotor. Be careful to leave the old wires and plug wires connected to dist.cap, just remove dist. cap from the distributor and lay aside with plug wires on it then install rotor then new cap and proceed to replace each wire for cap and spark plug one at a time so you don't mix up the spark plug wire firing order. Cap laying to the side is used for reference purpose.

Have a 2003 e250 ford van misfiring i changed the plugs the coil and the plug wires still missing

easy way is to get a plug wire puller that is insulated with it running pull the plugwires one at a time untill you pull one and the engine does not change this will be the cylinder that is misfireing, then check plug and ensure it is not fouled ou and check wire and dist, cap for cracks. berrydalewolf

1993 ecilpse 1.8 eng no spark. there is 12v at the dist

So you have voltage at the distributor and the rotor is turning. Check for voltage at the end of each plug wire. If you do not have voltage there you are loosing it in the wire or the cap. Is the cap new? Are cap and rotor new?
Just be sure you have voltage at every point between the distributor and the plugs.
Good luck!
