Service engine soon light

The service engine soon light is on ? Did you have it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes ?

Transmission is in limp mode. This enables you to drive the car to service. Anytime there is a transmission code in the computer even if nothing is wrong it will stay in limp mode until the code is erased. Most retail auto parts stores will run an obd2 diagnostic scan to determine the problem and erase existing codes, no charge (Auto Zone, Advance and others)

Check the Idle Air Control Valve. Any Service Engine Soon lights coming on?

which light are you refering to. CK ENG LIGHT? SERVICE ENG SOON? just drive it normally and it will reset.

most likely no filter that you can service. most of these chryslers have them in the fuel tank as part of the fuel pump

Your vehicle’s computer system has self-testing capability. When the computer senses that there is a problem with one of the components or sensors it stores the correspondent trouble code(s) in its memory and lights up the "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light to tell you that there is a problem and you need to diagnosed and repaired it. The list of possible codes number in the hundreds. The code itself doesn't tell exactly what component is defective - it only indicates where to look, or what engine parameter is out of normal range. You or a technician will have to perform further testing to pinpoint which sensor or part is not working correctly that caused the hesitation and the check engine light to come on.

I've had the same problem with mine in the past,Replace the gas cap. Look to see if present cap has any cracks in the rubber seal, If so replace it and wait a few days for it to go out. And be sure it is on as tight as possible before the "Clicking sound starts..."

Also try disconnecting the battery cables to clear the codes. If they come back then try the Autozone route for a free diag. If you come up with a code we can help you in determining what needs to be replaced. disconnect the negative battery cable for about an hour hook it back this should work if not go to advance auto parts they will check the computer for free and tell you what it is
