SOURCE: Determining if head gasket is blown on a 1994 honda accord Ex w VTec

White smoke out of the exhaust is one indication that the head gasket is blown. Another is to start the car and check the oil on the dipstick. If it's frothy or looks like a milkshake, this is another indication of a blown head gasket. The milky appearance indicates that coolant is in your engine, caused by a bad head gasket. If none of these symptoms occur, then the problem lies elsewhere. Hope this answers your question and feel free to post back with any other concerns or questions. Thank you.

1997 honda accord loud buzz near engine when accelerator pressed?

Sounds like either: 1) A exhaust heatshield is loose. They're simply thin metal guards around your muffler/CATS. If you find one loose, remove it or have it welded back on. 2) Broken motor mount. This is serious and requires pulling the engine from the car. If a motor mount is broken, the engine wont sit right and cause multiple vibrations. Hope this helped!

ENGINE LOUD WHEN DRIVING SOMETHING DID FALL OFF BOTTOM THAT SOMEONE TOLD ME WAS NOT BIG DEAL SOME KINDA COVER COULD THAT BE WHY ITS SO LOUD

things shouldnt just fall off, it must have been a part of the car and would have been there for a reason. The loud noise could be the muffler or exhaust broken. You probably should have a mechanic look under the car, and they will tell you how much it is to fix.

I have a 96 Honda accord with 213,000 miles, it drives nicely, I think the muffler is really loud though. What causes that? Should I replace it?

The muffler usually rusts from the inside. Then, it won't 'muffle' the engine noise anymore. Replace the muffler if it's bad.

White smoke coming from the muffler, loud noise...

One potential cause is too much gas. It may be running "rich". Your car may also be burning a little oil. White smoke is water or antifreeze. If you are loosing coolant from the radiator, it's probably a blown head gasket. If not, it is just condensation in the exhaust pipe that is evaporating as the pipes heat up. If the car is running too rich, the unburned gas will cause black smoke and burning oil smoke will be blue.

Hope helps (remember rated this).

Loud noise when press on the gas

see if te noise is there when stationary. if so hold the revs around 1500 to 2000 rpm if it rattles around that, then it is the heat sheild on the down pipe section thats broken free.

My 2000 Honda Accord is very loud upon acceleration. It's not the exhaust or the muffler. I know it has something to do with the manifold. Can you tell me in more detail what it could be? Thank you
