SOURCE: i put new lock outs in my F-250 but when I turn to 4 wheel drive it still don't won't work thank you

there should b a vacume module on the passenge side of the axle housing. check to see if you have vacume to and from that module when 4x4 is engaged if you have vacume coming out of it check it at wheel bearing. if you have vacume there the problem is the o ring by the lockers.

Key doesn't open door

Your key may be getting worn. Since you cannot get a key cut properly by using a worn key, go right to the dealership with your ownership papers and vin number, and they can follow a code to have a proper key cut for you. Best thing to try for $3 Hope this was helpful

My key will not come out of the driver side door lock. It will turn and move but appears to come up against a

I recommend spraying a penetrating oil (WD40) into the lock and GENTLY working the key in and out of the cylinder. You may also want to try warming the lock with a hair dryer or heat gun (being careful not to damage the paint. I have also heard of ppl using a lighter to heat up the key but because lighters explode, and get hot enough to melt things, I don't recommend it. If possible, park in a heated garage over night. Although I can't be sure that the lock cyl. Is frozen, that's certainly what it sounds like. The penetrating oil will displace water. Keep in mind that the key will be covered in oil after use for a while. To prevent this in the future, use a graphite designed for locks to keep it dry and moving for the future (again, watch for graphite on the key for a while after each use)
Please let me know how you make out! Thanks and good luck!

Saturn and Chevrolet have problems with their ignition locks so much to the point that I'm surprised there wasn't a recall. Try to push/pul the key in and out while you try turning it. If you have success, try some graphite powder in the lock mechanism; it might help for the future. If you are successful and the graphite helps smooth the lock, consider yourself lucky. If not, be prepared to get a new lock.

4. If trunk key won't turn, the key may be worn out and need to be replaced

My golf mk4 tdi boot wont open atall

Get hold of a can of Plus Gas or even WD40

Open the slot where the key goes into with a thin screw driver push the thin tube on the can then into the hole

Cover with a piece of tissue , give it a god blast and leave it for a few hours

Do it again and this time gently rock the key as if you are trying to opem the boot

It should free off

As they say if you dont use it you lose it !

Ignition: key will not turn

Have you tried moving the steering wheel from right to left while trying to turn the key, I know the wheel is locked but it will move slightly, sometimes this allows the key to turn, used it many times on cars with your problem, mostly it works. I would also suggest spraying a little WD40 into the lock cylinder, there may be a stuck lock pin. If all this fails remove the plastic steering column covers and replace the lock assembly, once you get the ****-shell covers off you will see how the whole thing is removed.
