The overhead console is quite prone to internal failure. Dim, intermittent, or dead displays are a common symptom of an internal failure. We offer a reasonable repair service with a lifetime guarantee. Check it out: www.autoclockrepair.com

The airbag light stays on and the temperature and compass display on the rearview mirror won't work.

2003 Chevy Silverado
our rearview mirror has gone off and the airbag light stays on.
i've determined that this is a fuse, the SIR fuse under the hood, but what I can't figure out is why it's blowing.
It's either something to do with when we hook up the lights to the trailer or it might be from where we installed a new car stereo.
I took it to the Chevy dealer for some other things and told them there was a fuse blown to the rearview mirror and to the airbag and just asked them to replace the fuse while it was in the shop.
on top of the $700 i was already spending, they charged me $98 to diagnose that it was a blown fuse and like $11 to change it, even though I already told them it was the airbag fuse. Highway robbery. And they wonder why we don't like 'em.

The electric compass and temp. display isnt working in my 2001 ford sport trac. Also, the power side mirrors and the keyless entry? Is this a fuse problem and if so does any one know the fuse #, my owners...

I believe that the mirrors and entry issues are not related to the overhead console. Compass/temp failure is a very common problem with many of the mid 2000 Ford truck and SUV overhead consoles. The console is very prone to internal failure. If the dome lights work but the compass unit does not then it is a faulty computer unit. There is a bunch of useful info there. Drop me an email if you have questions, thanks!

Dimming mirror temp is OC

OC means out of calibration,,, go to a big parking lot and drive in circles, this lets the compass relearn its position,if this doesnt work,,take it to the dealer there may be something else wrong

Can't get the outside temp. showing in the inside backview mirror

Check the connector that plugs into the back of the mirror and make sure it is pushed in all the way. If that is not it, look carefully at the wires going into the connector. I had one that broke off. I had to pull the pin out of the connector and re crimp it onto the wire.

Temp sensor and compass not displaying on my 2003 yukon xl

Yes. Look in the Fuse Panel inside the Truck. Use a Good Maglight or LED Flashlight and Hold it Behind the Fuses to see the Blown Ones. It is usually in an AUX Outlet. Also check thr Fuse Relay Box under the Hood for a Blown Fuse using the Same Method. See if there is a Relay for this also. If so, Replace it. Let me know if you need any more Help!
