Overdrive off light keeps flashing on dash

    I had this problem with my 03 explorer, it ended up leading to transmission problems, but it could be the harness wire that leads to the tranny. Be sure you check the less expensive solutions first.

I had this same problem It ended up being a sensor in the transmission.

The OD light flashing means there is a transmission problem , could have a DTC- diagnostic trouble code pointing to the problem . You have a parts store near you ? There can check the codes for you , most likely .

My overdrive light when out in the dash area - overdrive is still working but no light


The Explorer's are known for the bulbs blowing in the instrument panel. You would have to take out the whole panel to change the bulb.

My overdrive


the OD light flashing indicates that the transmission control module has observed a fault. Take the car to a local aftermarket parts place and get the codes pulled (typically free) this will send you in the right direction regarding a repair.

2002 explorer 4x4WD lights keep flashing is it the module


someone could have pushed the 4x4 low button accidently, it will not engage but the 4x4 will flash up on your dash. just push the 4x4 auto button and it should stop
