Question about 2009 Kia Cerato 1.6
I have the code, but am unsure how to type it in. My radio display says 1CDE8_6, and someone told me to press the number '1' key a number of times equal to first digit, number 2 key a number of times equal to second digit, etc. However, when I do this the display changes and the 8_6 gets replaced by what I'm typing in. Can anyone suggest what I should do to get the radio working?

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I would guess starter fuse first, then starter. When you turn key, if you don't hear a click, you should focus your attention on the fuse first and then the starter. If you hear a click, then most likely (80%) its the starter solenoid. try to start the car in neutral to rule out the neutral safety switch...good luck

I have a manual for a '99 model - the one with separate radio/cassette and CD model No's;

OK55L 66 860

Under "How to enter your password"
1. press power button & "Test" appears for 5 seconds, and blinks for 5 minutes. If you turn the power button off then back on again within 5 minutes "Code" blinks on the display.
2. enter password using the numbered buttons - press button 1 once to let it know it's the first digit, then press button 1 again however many times to bring up the code for the first digit. Press button 2 to let it know it's the second digit, then again however many times....etc. To enter default 1111 code, press button 1 twice,, 2 twice, 3 twice then 4 twice.
3. when all four digits entered (default is 1111) press SEL button and display should say "GOOD"
4.You get three goes, if still wrong after third attempt "HOLD" then you have to leave it for an hour
