SOURCE: My Nissan Pickup is losing power

If you take the vehicle to a local shop, you can get a mechanic to do a compression check on each one of your cyllinders. This will tell you if your engine is holding pressure. If that checks out, it would have to be a fuel problem, (injectors, pump, filter, or clogged line) or maybe spend the couple bucks, and buy yourself a new MAF (mass airflow sensor) it may be the problem, but if not, it always helps to change.

Some Asian cars and trucks hve the pump sitting low on the engine and might be hard to see. The resovoir tank should be visible on the engine or fender and the fluid is caried to the pump via rubber hoses.

SOURCE: 1997 Nissan Pickup 4 cyl radiator replacement

Basic mechanical experience is all you need. Remove the intake tube, fan, fan shroud, upper and lower hoses and it comes right out. I think you can do the whole job with a 10mm wrench and a phillips screwdriver. (Maybe a couple other tools, but no special ones.) Be sure to get a 1" core radiator and not the stock 1/2" core, for added cooling capacity.

SOURCE: replacing door handle on nissan pickup

Lift up the handle, you will see the bolts there, You will also have to pry off inside door panel (after removing any screws) than you will have access to the nuts. That's all there is to it.

The clock spring is located behind the steering wheel. The steering wheel must be removed. The clock spring assembly will most likely have a clip on the steering shaft securing it in place. Remove the clip and the assembly will pull off once the wiring connector is disconnected

I need a diagram for the v-belt on a 1997 nissan 2.4 truck.

Above diagram is not correct. Air compressor is on the inside most ring, around the pulley just left and a little lower. The middle belt is the generator and water pump. The very first one you come to looking inside the vehicle front to back is the power steering pump and the pulley to the top right and down to the crank. Good luck!

Where is the location of the thermostat on a 1997 Nissan XE 2.4 Liter engine? Is it top or bottom hose? It sure would be nice to find a free download of the engine's diagrahm without me having to buy a...

It's the bottom hose. I just changed mine this past weekend. Take the power steering pump bracket loose and fold the power steering pump back. Can get to the lower hose and thermostat housing then. Make sure to bleed the air out of the system when starting the truck after replacement of thermostat. The bleeder valve is a bolt on the housing where the upper hose attaches.
