If it turns over but won't start check that you have gas and spark. If you do not have spark check that the battery wire on the distributer cap is not coroded. As for gas make sure your fuel filter is not clogged or you do not have a bad fuel pump. Check and make sure it is bad before you replace it. Also check your fuses and relays.

On my 93 chevy s10 4x4 blazer, my instrument panel worked before new motor was put in, after having the new engine put in, my fuel gauge, oil pressure, voltmeter, rpm, and my temp gauge all quit worki

Look for a missing ground strap from the engine to the body or frame. Remember the engine sits on rubber mounts so that ground strap is essential.

1993 Chevy S10 Blazer Serpentine Belt replacement

You use a breaker bar to move the tensioner, remove the belt and use the tensioner to put it back. You draw the belt and pulleys on a sheet of paper before removing, otherwise there should be a small diagram of the belt and pulley positions on the fan shroud or radiator support.

Need to replace serpentine belt

Serpentine Belts are relatively easy to replace with just a wrench. Locate the tensioner (spring loaded) and when you move it CW it will loosen the belt. There should be a diagram of the belt routing on the frame close to the battery, if not it will also be in your owners manual.

I need a serpentine belt diagram for a 98 s10 blazer with air conditioning. 4.3 v6. thank you

You can get serpentine belt routings from Dayco website:
http://www.accessdayco.com/automotive#
It can be a little tough to find, but they are in there.
If you have A/C, yours should look like this:

1992 s10 blazer/alternator

The new alternator you bought must have been the dud one. See the rating on the former before replacing. if belt is too tight there will be a sharp schwaking noise.

Cheers

My 84 blazer wont shift

Your 84 wiring harness is for the TCC ( transmission converter control) system.
On the left side of the carburetor (driver side) you should have 2 cables, one for the accelerator and the 2nd for the TV (throttle valve) control. You will need to adjust the cable for correct shift points. Under normal circumstances you will have 7 to 10 mm's extending beyond the cable adjuster block.
Should take care of the issue for you.
Let me know.
Regards,

Need to replace alternator in a 1989 chevy s10 blazer

With a serpentine belt, there is a tensioner pulley, so use a socket on a breaker arm placed on the bolt of the tensioner. Turn it until the belt goes slack. It helps to get someone else to hold that in place while you remove the alternator.

Both serpentine and V-belt are described here, and there are diagrams :
