Is there anyway to reset the transmission without taking it to the dealer

You never need a dealer for any vehicle repairs--- ever

There are several hundred thousand repair shops
that do the same thing

There is no resetting most things

Clear Codes & Data--- only to have it come back, that you
can do --if you don't want to learn the OBD2 Systems or
resolve anything

Location for airbag module 2010 Ford escape and if I can reset it myself

You can't clear the fault unless you have an OBD reader - you can reset the fault with the reader - however if your airbag is faulty it will fault again and you will need to take it to a dealer to have it fixed - if you don't have an OBD reader you should take it to the dealer anyway.

I was driving my car and i have a clutch and the mechanic told me that the transmission went on it i had it for 2 weeks i bought it froma car dealer had no idea it was going oout until i was driving it,...

If it is stand transmission and you were not being hard on it like racing it should be the dealer problem.
If it is a automatic transmission it's the dealer problem anyways because if the transmission was a good one it should last for a year or more. Sound like the dealer doctored the transmission.

Anyway to hook up an amp power wire w/o unhooking battery?

There should be a large red wire going to your fuse box under the hood. You can put it there. You can unhook your battery also your computer should be fine. Think about it if everytime someone changed a bad battery they would have to go to dealer not true. What you have heard some older cars the computer can be reset by removing the negative. I take the positive off all the time on cars your age and have never had any problems

Tranny bum when slowdown at stop light

Sounds like a transmission tune up may help. Make sure the shop you take it to resets the values, this is called a quick learn at the dealer, even if worn fluid is the problem, without reseting the values the van will shift as it is for awhile.
Hope this helps, let me know how you make out...
Good Luck..

EPC light

This sounds like a "brake light switch" failure in a 5 speed manual transmission car. Please tell me your car has a manual transmission. A scanner, or code resetting tool will not fix this problem. I'm surprised that a dealer would allow this to get out the door without telling you that this car qualifies for a "campaign," or "recall" replacement of the brake light switch under the "N4 program" guidelines. In fact, this program is actually called the "N4 campaign." Good luck.
