SOURCE: 1988 camry rear lights.

Look at the wiring harness that runs along the hinge on the trunk lid, driver side. Camrys with lights on the trunk lid are know to break one of these wires.

Lok in the trunk on the left side, behind the carpet for a small plastic box with a bunch of wires going to it. Look to see if there is brake light powe coming in with the pedal depressed. If so, and no power is coming out, you need to order and replace the "taillamp failure sensor".

open the trunk and look up along the top of the bumper and you should see two screws / nuts that secure the light assembly.

SOURCE: 1989 Toyota Camry. No brake lights.

It could be the relay, which is a yellow box located under the carpeting in the trunk on the left side. It is a problem common to your model. Also, check the brake switch's (behind the brake pedal) functionality (12V present with key at ACC or ON and continuity between wires when button engaged).

i hope this helps

The rear break light (on the right side) of my 1994 Camry LE has gone. Please advise the replacement bulb part number. I do not have the owner's manual with me.

We are a social network, while some people
look that up ,if they work in a repair shop
or have the same car & a manual

I would just remove the burnt out one
& most likely it will be the correct one
The # is on it
I usually check the other side that works, just to be
sure they are the same

A parts store may have that info also but don't
trust that alone

My brake lights are out, but the third brake light in the rear window works ? what could be the problem on my 2002 toyota camry

both bulbs must be blown or bad connection to the rear lights, because all this is on the same circuit from the brake light switch.
