Doesn't sound right

You need to know in detail what testing was done
or get it out of there ---if they won't allow you into the
service bay to talk to the tech that worked on it,not
on the phone or in an office for the Dog & Pony Show

Yes, a bad O2 sensor could cause the vehicle to fail emissions check.

2006 Trailblazer:: smog fail: multiple codes

probably just a plug at #1 ; swap the coil with another nearby cylinder, replace #1 plug and see what happens. if the code changes position then you'll know it's the coil. I've been diagnosing performance issues for over thirty years and I can't remember having to replace one of these individual coils; it's always the coil packs or coil/module combination units that fail. A sticking valve will cause a misfire code and you can add a container of injector cleaner to the tank to clean both the injectors and the intake valves as the injectors spray almost directly on the intake valve and will help clean them off.

How to put a timing belt 2000 ford focus

If it's like mine, the ZETEC engine,I'd wholeheartedly recommend letting Ford do it.They only charge 185 dollars labor and will do it right.
In my shop manual,it takes up FOUR pages of instructions on this job for the ZETEC....................that's too much trouble for me.
I took mine to Ford at 130,000 miles and they did a great job.All parts considered,it cost 413.00 dollars because of the kit and belt and new tensioner for the drive belt. don-ohio

My 2007 Chevy Avalanche failed the emission test with the code of P0455 what is the problem?

It is probably the evap vent valve. A new vent solenoid valve has been redesigned to correct the problem you are having. I would recommend purchasing the dealer component.
I hope this helps.

2003 eats the oil dont smoke no leaks

It obviously has to be going somewhere and if there are no leaks noticed where it is normally parked then it has to be coming through combustion side which could mean worn piston rings, worn/bad valve stems/seals or worn valves. Depending on where you live if the dmv has smog/inspection regulations in place in order to register your vehicle you could have them run a test for usually 10 dollars but if you fail I think they give you a 30 day period to repair problem or they won't renew registration. Take it to a muffler/exhaust shop and have them hook up catalyst monitors in your exhaust which would measure smog output from your vehiclejust because there is no visible smoke doesn't mean you have high hydrocarbon outputs

The dealership told me my Dodge Dakota need a valve job, they have had it for a week now, and just one week prior to it need this valve job I had it in for a tune up, new battery, and fuel injections...

Yes, but why is a better response. was there a problem before you took it to the dealer or this a additional sale after your "tune up " they said you need a valve job also to keep your engine running great. If you had a problem in the first place the should have addressed it first not sell you 600.00 worth of repairs then slap you with 2000.00 more.

01 Ford Expedition. Check Engine light and failed Smog check.

whoever installed the egr valve, if it wasnt you, just cleared the engine codes, thus giving you this problem once again. Get it scanned at autozone, and go from there.

Jetta failing smog due to non communication with OBD - Suggestions?

the no data error can be contributed to a bad interface cable or the scaqn tool was configured wrong and therfore could not connect to the ecm. I would recommend having a scan done again by a certiefied volkswagon tech chances are the mechanics used the wrong adapter cable or reader card. your smog problem could be that your evap canister is clogged therfore gives a bad reading.unfortunately you have to have a scan done but try an independant small shop that delas exclusively with foreign cars such as porche andd mercedez. the will have the correct scan tool and will be much cheaper than a dealership. your cost should be no more than 50 dollars US ... please rate this. thanks
