Your best bet is to just re place the entire cluster, my brother in law had to do that to his 94 ford explorer not that long ago because of the same issue

Engine quits when ac turned on compressor unplugged

Knowing make model and year would help. Most newer vehicles, 2000 and newer, will adjust the idle control up to compensate for the compressor engaging. Possible there is an issue in the idle air control valve or electrical circuit.

Cruise control is inoperative

It can be faulty cruise control switch. If the switch is replaced, then it can be wiring issue or faulty cruise control board. But as the switch is replaced, get the voltage at the switch tested to confirm the switch is actually receiving voltage. If no voltage received at switch power supply wire then, apply external 12 volt power to the cruise control switch wire and then see if cruise control comes ON. If yes, then you know wiring is issue.

2000 dawoo lanos auto trans won't engage cold

You pulled the pan and replaced the filter, you have the Transmission control module scanned for fault codes (I Know I asked just want to verify, this is a different test than what Kragen or Autozone does.) Did you do a flush where all the transmission fluid is replaced, just a service only drains a few quarts, the transmission holds around 10. If you have not replaced the filter do so, if you have not had a flush do so. I would suggest you use synthetic transmission fluid, I think if you spent the bucks for the above services you will end up with a working transmission, sure beats the $2500.00 to replace it with a rebuilt. Let me know. Please rate my help for Fixya. Thanks

It started with pulling 4 wheel drive lever to engage 4 wheel drive. It would take couple of seconds to engage. Finally engage light would appear showing engage. The light would blink a few times before...

Check the linkage under the vehicle that goes from your shift lever to a rod that then goes to the transmission lever. Sometimes a coupling will come loose. Simple return it to its' original position and re-tighten. Let me know if this helps. Thanks.

My 1999 Monte Carlo trac light comes on during regular driving? Why?

the trac light is designed to come on to let you know that the traction control is working, it works by engaging the anti-lock brake system to keep the front wheels from spinning, it will also come on if you are stopping hard enough to engage the anti- lock brakes, this also could be a sign that your brakes are getting worn and might need replaced

Cruise control will not engage

pull the plastic cover off the top of the engine and check where the cable from the cruise control connects by the throttle body. There is a plastic connector that might be broken. i had the same problem and a piece of tape fixed it for me but you can replace the part if your picky.
