If the battery is all right, you should try to check the starter and igniton.

1995 honda del sol wont start trys but wont start, also cant get it out of park with shifter into drive its a automatic

Ok you have two problems that may or may not be related. Is the battery good? Does it crank normally and not start, or is it not cranking over at all? You have to start with the basics here. Test the battery/starter/cables. If ok, Try it in neutral. If it starts in neutral the shifter cable may need adjusting. If it's cranking and not starting let me know, because that takes a different approach to diagnosis.

Do you have normal compression, fuel pressure and spark ?

Select start withignition switch and sometimes nothing happens. No other problems are seen. All other instrument indiations seem normal. Keep trying and, so far, it will start.

will or will not crank?
if no crank wiggle the gear selector cranking
or try cranking in neutral. (fresh contacts there)

nothing to me means it will not crank.
if A/T wiggle the shifter,
the park lock out will allow you to shift to neutral, hand brake set.
then crank.
if it wont crank now, try, jumper cable cranks next.

Cutlass ciera wont start

Does the starter spin the motor at normal cranking speed? If there seems too much friction, try turning the engine over by hand to check if the engine turns freely. Put a socket and wrench on the center crankshaft pulley bolt and turn clockwise. If you cannot turn the crankshaft with a wrench easily, then the starter can't either. Turn the crank all the way around to check for something preventing cranking.
Is the battery still enough power to crank at normal speed? If it's already too low, recharge it, and try again.

Wont start

Fuel filter clogged, fuel pump relay or pump faulty. Have your fuel pressure checked. If pressure is good, then check igniton parts such as your coil or igniton module. If you car backfires or cranks much slower than normal, it may have jumped time.

Car wont start but battery is good

"assuming" the engine is cranking normally then you need to identify what is missing

is the fuel pump running
do you have fuel to the injectors
do you have injector pulse

do you have spark

is the security module disabling the engine?

and finally what is the crank/cam timing
however, IF the vehicle is cranking normally then this should not be the cause

ok, any obd code means the sensor concerned is not detected by the ecu, or is way out of range of the normal signal the ecu expects. I would therefor check the electrical path between the sensor and the ecu terminals, it may be just a chafed cable or wire.

Wont crank or start

The battery is probabally OK but the connections to it are not other words the lights draw nothing compared to cranking. Clean the terminals and make sure both connectors are tight.
