What has been done so far?

Did you go on a road test --you driving

Do that

Tire Weights fall off
Drive Shaft Joints bad or shaft installed wrong

SOURCE: 2000 grand marquis cruise control not working

Have seen this problem before. You need to look under dash at brake pedal and find a blue switch with plunger contacting pedal, disconnect connector and jump with a peice of wire and drive to see if cruise works and if it does replace deactivation switch this should get you going.

2000 grand marquis blows pcm fuse only when driven. it will run fine when sitting. I jiggle all the wires and harnesses and checked for bad wires and found not. What should I do next?

Bob,
The fact that it only happens when you are driving suggests that the vibration is 'shaking' a wire somewhere and causing a short.

You can check all the wiring around the front headlights, rear tail lights, horn .. and find nothing..

My honest advice would be to take it to an auto electrician and let him identify the fault.

2000 grand marquis dash vibration

Check with a site called "Aboutautomobile.com" which will show you the TSB's and Consumer comments about your specific car. The TSB info will show remedies.

Now I believe there was a problem with Frame welds in the control arm area in the front suspension about the year your car was made.

The front tire could be out of balance or out of round. Rotate tires and see what happens. Tie-rod ends could be worn and they can let you know the condition at that time.

Sometimes either spray foam or adhesive foam strips can help dampen vibration.

Rear-end on 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis starts vibrating at 65 to 75 mph.

I would say you're dealing with either a wheel bearing or rear differential issue. New rear diff fluid may help your problem but at this point I would say you probably will have to replace some or all of the parts in the diff.
