SOURCE: locating the High side and Low side AC gas ports

Easy. find the compressor. The larger hose attaching to the compressor is the "suction" side. This is where you install the refrigerant.

The smaller hose, whether rubber or metal as it travels to the passenger compartment, is the high pressure side.

After installing refrigerant and as the compressor is running, the larger hose will feel cool and the pressure side will feel hot.

SOURCE: location of oxygen sensors on 2002 dodge grand

The o2 sensors are located on the exhaust system. The upstream in on the rear exhaust manifold and the down stream is in front of the catalytic converter.Usually when they are bad they will make the check engine like go on.Make sure the air filter is clean, tires at correct inflation, alignment is to specs. If the vehicles pulls to one side or the other or steering wheel is not straight when driving down a straight stretch of road. Also tires are wearing normal.Use cruise control where ever on highway. If you let your vehicle warm up in winter. This also uses gas.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Engine ticking in 1998 dodge grand caravan

if its a ticking noise then its probably a lifter noise from age and mileage or none scheduled maintenance. on your next oil change you can try running an oil system cleaner through your engine but this is not something to be overly concerned about.

Do you recomend 3.0 engines in dodge caravans

The 3.0 is a good motor, but it is prone to smoking due the valve guides dropping out of place, which can be fixed at a machine shop but can set you back nearly$1000.i9f the motor is low mileage then i say go for it ,if higher mileage then prepare to spend some money.

98 dodge caravan uses lots of gas

You do not say what mileage you are getting. Your vehicle will get from 12-17 MPG in the city and 17-24 Highway depending on many factors. Your vehicle is 11 years old and if it has near 100,000 miles I suggest you replace the spark plugs and plug wires. Keep the tires inflated to the pressure listed in your owner's manual and on the driver's door post. Replace the air filter every 30,000 miles. Drive the speed limit, and take off slowly. If you are getting near the maximum of 17 city & 24 highway, then there is not much you can do to improve mileage. So, exactly what mileage are you getting?

Dodge caravan 1998 regarding difference between gear D and 3

Two spaces i believe. on the new cars d often includes overdrive which kicks in to allow the motor to work less to keep the car at the speed you are at. hence better gas mileage.
if you leave it in 3rd i believe that will provent overdrive from kicking in.

Intake manifold very hot and Caravan won't start

the question is --Why is the intake manifold extremely hot?
intake manifolds have cold air running through them so any heat there indicates a major problem
determine why and you will be on the way to figuring out the fix
As a pointer
The EGR valve is used to recirculate exhaust gas back into the induction system to lower the burn temperature and to burn of unused gas content
it is very possible that the unit is malfunctioning and that is why the inlet is so hot
run the fault codes to determine the area to fix
