Question about 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe
A few days ago my car stopped going into overdrive. Once I hit 50mph the RPMs just keep going up. This is a CVT transmission. Any ideas?
Don't know if a trans shop will work on a CVT--- we didn't
when I had my shop
May have to go to dealer

SOURCE: CVT Transmission
I don't understand you problem, I have a 2007 maxima with CVT transmission, THERE ARE NO GEARS ! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? CVT = constant velocity transmission. It's like driving a golf cart.

hand it over to a mechanic or Nissan. If you recently had an M.O.T and it went of quickly then ask for a refund, even better, ask him to take a look at the car again
