SOURCE: how to remove starter from toyota t100

Remove negative battery terminal... Remove the small lead from the starter solenoid, and the large lead from the starter. remove the (usually 2) bolts holding the starter on. lower starter out the bottom. (now.. since toyota starters don't go bad)... remove the 3 screws from the end of the solenoid housing... and go to a starter rebuild shop. Buy 2 new copper contacts for the solenoid, and replace them... presto new starter for less then $20 bucks.

Nothing, you have hit the rev limiter. The up and down is the computer controlling the rpm. If you drive it, it should rev past 3,000. The computer is designed to keep free wheeling rpm to that level. It will only allow a higher rpm if vehicle is in gear and moving with a load.

the camshaft position sensor is a $40 - $70 part at rockauto.com, depending on your engine. first check the connections to the sensor to make sure the computer is getting a good signal. You may have to remove the sensor and look into the mounting hole to see if there is an obstruction that may be blocking a proper signal. check the wiring to see if it may have corrosion or a short to ground.

it going into limp mode the most common problem is the air mass sensor it sends message to your ecu this is why it wont rev past 3000 the sensor is in the airfilter and intake pipe hope this helps
