The car has been running fine it just died and wont start back it just cranks but wont start

Depends on the model car.

lots of times, the condition you describe is a crankshaft position sensor, particularly if the car starts after a couple of hours of sitting.

Hello there

Yet another 330i that just die's for no reason. It's a very common problem with MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor. The next time it dies just unhook the MAF sensor which sits on the large black pipe that goes from you air filter to the engine, black square thing. The engine should start and drive fine but you should change the MAF when possible.

Hope this helps, please don't forget to rate me.
