i took and cleaned the maf and that didnt do any good and why i ask about the over drive is because when i delite the code it will shuft into od about when the code comes back it wont shift

  • Anonymous Nov 29, 2012

As I said ---when you have cleared all data from the pcm & no fault codes are set the shift strategy works thus OD. The PCM is holding off OD when a fualt is present. Solve the IAT issues

thats the only code i have it shifted fine before this code came up

1 Answer

IAT --provides the sequential fuel injection temperature info

About 18 sensors, solenoids & switches --are used or monitored for shift control strategy

The AIT should be in with the MAF Sensor

Try cleaning it CRC MAF Cleaner --instructions on the can

Why are you asking about OD?

Code po113

Its the air intake temp sensor. You will find it in the front of the intake somewhere. I am not sure about Geo's but if you have a Haynes or similar manual it will give you this info, you could do a search on internet an find its location. It is going to be on the air intake housing. Sometimes you can do a reset on sensors, but most of the time they dont work. Since the vehicle has some miles on it just replace it. Then clear codes an watch to see if things change. Could be as simple as connector loose

2005 ford escape code po113 and door ajar light is on

Two different problems.
PO113 is a code for the intake air temp sensor.
The sensor could be bad or could be another problem.
The normal test is to take a scanner and "read" the air temp coming from the sensor. It should be around same as the outside air temp.

2002 Ford escape giving po113 code. What is it and how do i fix it?

It has to do with the intake air temp, sensor. Could be a bad sensor , broken wire or something with the ECM. Check the wires first to see if any are broken

Where is the po113 on a f-250, 2001 super duty 2 wheel drive? please don't say it is in the mass air flow! i just put one in from ford and it still has the same code?

Is that the only code? That is a code for the Intake air temp sensor. On the black tube from the air cleaner to the throttle body there should be a small senser. That is your Intake air temp. Sometimes those get unplugged when servicing air filters or when aftermarket parts are put on.

Took my focus 2003 to autozone it is going thru alot of gas and we changed the spark plugs they ran a test and the codes are po113 & po303 i do not know what this means can you help me

P0113 indicates the IAT Intake Temperature Sensor has a problem.
P0303 indicates a misfire on cylinder 3

I believe the IAT is built into the MAF sensor located in the air snorkle and helps regulate the air/fuel mixture. Also concentrate on cylinder 3 looking for problems such as injector, wiring, etc.

Hope this helps!
