Question about 2000 Oldsmobile Alero
While driving or sitting still it feels like my 2000 Oldsmobile Alero will start jumping and if you watch the tachometer you can see every time the car jumps it looses power. When you are getting up to speed or cruising at 55 mph it will still jump as if it is not getting power or gas to operate. If you take your foot off of the gas and then press the gas again directly after, the car will take off and go but until you do that it will keep jumping and cutting back loosing speed all the while. I've tried replacing plugs, wires, coil packs, etc...PLEASE if anyone has a suggestion or has seen this before please inform me!!!

SOURCE: 1999 oldsmobile alero
I have a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero and my car was running rough and stalling. Also when the car was shifting, it was making a "thud" sound. My service engine light was on, so I took it to Autozone to run their diagnostic tool. It came back with code P0108 and they advised me to check my vacuum hoses as a possible solution. I looked and found that my air hose running from my throttle body to my map sensor was disconnected. I reconnected the hose and the engine ran normally and didn't make any "thud" sound when shifting. My car is back to normal. So check your hoses. If its still running rough, you may need to replace your map sensor.

I just had my fuel pump replaced on my 2003 Oldsmobile Alero 2.2 4 door sedan and I've been having problems with my car starting. When it finally turns over and starts it drives fine. Now it's been shutting off in the middle of driving. When it does this it starts right back up. Diagnostics reported: Bank 1 Sensor 1 02 Sensor Fault and Air valve high idle fault. Any suggestions?
