Heat in car

1995 Buick Riviera-blower motorquit-changed motor. Still does not work. Thought it may be a relay switch or a fuse of some kind. I really need to fix this as soon as possible.

I had the same problem. It is the resistor and it is located under the dash to the left of the blower motor. I checked at auto zone and it was 280.00 and advanced wanted 130.00. Also the plug is more than likely burnt also. That you would have to get at a dealer or scrap yard, if you are lucky. I checked at a junk yard and that one was burnt also. Mine is now hard wired for a temporary fix with a toggle switch to turn it off and on.

I Have a 1998 Buick Rivera Blower does not blow i have power to the relay under the rear seat i have pulled the blower motor. by passed and motor fine no power to fuse left side of dash is there a rel

Not sure hat rely you are checking but the blower motor does. To have a relay in the rear fuse block. The fuse you're checking protects the HVAC computer. The HVAC computer uses that circuit to monitor the voltage going to the blower motor.

The most likely problem is the blower motor resistor, aka blower motor module, blower motor speed control. It is typically located near the blower motor. The red wire is power from the battery and should be there all the time. Black is ground. Purple is power to the blower. Grey/black is the speed input from the HVAC module.

The blowing of my 95 buick riveira quit

Check the heater blower fuses first. If you have an owner's manual, it will tell you where they are... Might be a bad switch. Try the easy stuff first before you ripp into the dash panel...Good Luck

Replace your blower motor relay. It's located under the hood on the firewall passenger side.93ecbeb.jpg

Location of fan blower relay

On most GMs, the fan relay is inside of the fan housing. It uses the fan to keep it cool, because the resistors generate a lot of heat. These resistors go bad usually one at a time until all you have left is high speed. You have to remove the fan and there it is! It is a big pain to be upside down, but with a light and a mirror, you can see it easily.

1996 buick riviera blower motor will not shut off

The blower motor control module needs to be replaced, that will solve the problem. The module is underneath the hood on the firewall in the back. It has 2- 6mm screws. Unplug it, pull it out, put the other one back in. Plug it in. This is common for this model buick.
