When i drove my 98 chevy tahoe i made a left turn, i could not steer back to neautral straight position it was stuck i almost crashed. Was able to force it back to position, thought it was ok drving straight made another turn and it got stuck again. Was again able to jam it back to straight position. Had to tow it back home. Now u turn it just slightly and its stuck! Feels like steering when the battery is dead but worse its really hard! Please help! Thanks

SOURCE: 200 Jeep GC Ignition Stuck in Lock Position

When you parked the vehicle, are your front wheels pointing straight ahead or in a turn position. What has happened to me in the past, is the pressure the tires put on the steering wheel lock when in a turn position is greater than the pressure you can apply with one hand on the key.
What you may want to try is turn the wheel in the same direction, therefore relieving the pressure, and you should be able to turn the key. Hope that works for you. jpp

Ignition key won't turn

Try turning the key while jerking the wheel left and right and depressing the brake pedal. If that won't work try another key.

I just need to know how to remove the factory radio from a 2001 chevy tahoe

did this recently on a 2004 Tahoe. Yours is probably the same. Set the brake and put the shifter in low. Tilt the steering wheel all the way down, if it tilts. Grab the instrument panel bezel with your fingers/fingernails and pull straight out. There are spring loaded clips all around from the left end of the dash to just past the radio. Once it is free from all clips, tilt the top down toward the steering wheel to slip it out. Then you will see 3 screws holding the radio in. There are 2 connectors on the back, plus the antenna wire to pull out. Let me know if yours is different or if you have any questions.

I turned ignition off and lifted wheel concurrently, it slipped to a locked position which I can not undo, it is stuck in that position, and it is an uncomfortable driving position.

on the left side of steering column theres a lever. it located behind the singal light lever, if you pull back on lever you should be able to tilt wheel into postion you need, good luck hope this helps.

Chevy Tahoe Sunroof is stuck open moves slightly forward and back

It sounds like it just needs to be reinitialized. Turn your key to the on position with motor off and hold the up/full vent button down for at least 30 seconds or until your sunroof either clicks or goes to the full vent position. That should fix your problem.
