There are service pads under the rocker panels just behind the front wheels and just ahead of the rear wheels .. the jack is designed to engage these pads .. make sure opposite wheels are blocked so the car cant roll .. loosen lug nuts a little while tire is still on the ground ..

There should be a description in the owners manual. you have to be careful where you put the jack. also makesure you set the parking brake

How do I remove the flat tire

Hi Frank:
- Block the diagonally opposite tire.
- Set the parking brake
- Put the transmission in Park or Low gear.
- Set the jack under the frame or body lift point.
- Jack up until tight against lift point
- Remove trim cover if present
- Use wheel nut wrench to loosen nuts. Do not remove nuts.
- Jack up until wheel off ground.
- Remove wheel nuts.
- Wheel should now be able to be removed. Sometimes they will need a kick to loosen them. If still stuck, reply as a COMMENT to this e-mail and I'll give you some other hints.

2007 Kia Sorrento rocks left to right on highway, 60-75mph?

Hi Bryan:
Had similar issues with a dodge pickup. Drove me crazy. Had alignment done twice. Eventually put on new front tires and problem went away. Completely.
My advice?????
- Check tire pressures.
- Jack vehicle up and put on jack stands. Inspect all suspension components for loose or worn bushings, ball joints, linkages.
- Exchange tires from rear to front and front to rear.
- Test drive.
- If problem is still there, have alignment checked.
Hope this helps.

Tire pressure for passat 2002

It is not so much the tire pressure for a Passat, 2002 as it is the tire pressure for a tire on the Passat 2002.

Only certain tires will fit on a Passat and VW knows this when they put the information on the door pillar, driver side in most 'editions' of the Passat. Same is said about what they printed in the owner manual and also the sticker that may be in your glove compartment.

All this information provided by VW is based on the tire that fits the Passat. The tire will have all the information you require molded into the side wall of the tire: recommended pressure, load range, temperature range and more. Look closely at the tire for this and lots more infomation including tire construction type, material and size.

Thanks for your question @ FixYa.com

Hi - This is really a dumb question, but my daughter's suzuki is in the southern states and I am on the west coast. Please tell me where the car jack should go to change both the front and rear tires?

it goes next to the tire but not to close find a strong flat part which is metel under the car next to to the tire and place the jack there pump it up and if the jack is slipping and looks like it will not hold try a different spot but again not far from the tire ur changing u want to left the weight off that tire. before u jack the car up take the lug nuts off the tire so it does not turn while its in the air hand screw the nut on the new tire tighten them up then drop the car off the jack and tighten them up even tighter repeat step for other side. the nuts might be tight to get off so use a lot of muscle to get them loose.

Will the weight of 20inche rims hurt the transmission of a 2 wheel drive 2001 VW Passat, and I smell a burning rubber smell in my Passat when I turn the heat on and 15mins later it goes away, what is that...

No, the weight of the wheels isnt the problem. Jack the car up and look at the inside wall of your tires, they are probably rubbing somewhere. On some cars, when you install different rims, you need to buy spacers that go between wheel and the rotor. If you dont, the tires can rub. Sometimes they only rub when turning. See if this is your problem. Hope this helps

Can't get flat tire off 06 Nissan Armada

U probably just have a bit of rust holding it on, a kick should do it, provided that u raise the car high enough to get the weight off the car and removed all the lug nuts :)
