Heater blower's not working for 1992 honda accord

The blower's been working off and on a few months ago. but for the past few months it hasn't come on at all. so there's no heat, no a/c, no defrost. i can deal with no a/c but in the winter the defrost is pretty essential. was told after checkin the fuses that the transistor would be the next thing to check before actually replacing the blower motor.

There is no transistor. since your fan doesn't work at all most likely it is the motor. if it was the Resistor it would only work on high.

If the fan speeds dont increase or decrease when using the control usually is the blower motor resister has failed. If the blower motor isnt working at all, check the fuses, relay and for power at the blower motor

I have a 1992 Honda Accord. When you shut off the car the blower motor stays on and the lights on the heater panel.

Make sure your fan is wired correctly, if the fan is wired correclty which it may but could be crossed and spinning backward and sending power through ground wire causing a power up of the inside light and blower, if the wiring is good then replace the cooling fan relay, that must be shorting and back feeding power to heater control.

How do you replace a heater blower motor on a 1992 honda accord

It's bolted under the dashboard, on the passenger's side. Just unplug it, unbolt it and bolt on the new one. It's not a tough task.

It could be the fan fuse, fan relay, a bad control head on/off switch or the blower motor is bad.

My heater is not working at all. stopped working about a month ago

Check and make sure the coolant level is ok. If ok, then the valve that controls the coolant flow into the heater core is not functioning properly. This valve is located on the firewall. You can follow the heater hoses back to the backside of the engine towards the firewall. Also, make sure the vacuum line to the dashpot is attached.
