Egine chugs intermitently

When excelerating ( heavy throttle ) egine seems to be running to lean. I have rebuilt the carb and make adjustments to the metering rod, to provide more fuel durring excelleration. Changed intake gaskets, and repaired all vacum leaks, removed and caped EGR ports. Timing is correct, ign. coil is new, new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and fuel filter.

Sounds like it might be a vacuum problem check all the vacuum hoses and spray some wd40 around the base of the carburetor while idling. if the engine revs up then you have a carburetor base gasket problem or a leaking vacuum hose

My 71 v12 etype is running lean on the left bank ( seen from drivers seat) carbs been rebuilt by Burlen. checked for obvious air leaks. carb on full adjust and its still lean. any ideas

If the carb job was successful, check the fuel supply, volume and pressure. For manifold air leaks.
Double check the carb job, check the fuel level, main jets size, clogs in the carb passages.

1980 tr7 duel strongberg carbs. clean gas, pump works, rebuilt carbs. will not start! will run untill starting fluid burns -off.

Adjust the nut under the main jet needle to give it fuel to run with. The throttle control pushes the needles in too far and block of the jet so you have to give the jets a chance to allow fuel in

Carb is acting weird cant seem to adjust

That is the choke adjustment, have you checked your timing on the motor and check and see if the vacum pod on the distributer is working. also check your vacum lines for any tears or cracks in them.
