Where is the air filter and how to change filter on 2007 vw jetta

The air filter is on the Engine cover. You need to remove that cover by pulling up (make sure you unplug the map sensor carefully and disconnect the air ducts. one has a clump the other one has 2 thorx screws near to the radiator.) once you have removed the cover turn it up side down and there are 5 phillip head screws. Removed them to remove the filter cover and get to the filter.
thanks

How to change an air filter on a 2008 jetta 2.0 turbo

On the VW Jetta MkV, the cabin filter is underneath the glove box. Access is gained by removing two plastic screws, gently pulling down a piece of foam insulation, and releasing a single clip to detach the filter. It (and some debris from it) fall easily onto the floor mat below. Insert the new cabin filter, replace the insulation, re-screw the screws, and within 3 minutes, you're back in business with fresh air and clean hands besides!

How do I take the engine top cover off of the 06 2.o jetta?

You have to unhook the air-ducting from the intake and the output to the turbo, Then pull on it upward. It's very aggrivating.

Its located on the drivers side just behind the battery and in front of the strut tower, a black square box with a black round plastic tube going to it, remove the top cover and you will see the square air filter inside.

just stick your head up under the passenger side. there is a small panel with a few screws in it, and it drops strait down. nothing involved in the glovebox at all
