SOURCE: I have a 2005 golf fsi 2.0 tiptronic. The car

Ok you said the loud bang is coming from the front and it happens when you slow down and or turn. This sounds to me that you have a bad wheel bearing. Have your wheel bearings checked and I would be willing to bet that you find your problem.

Golf FSI 2.0 (2005 Model) Automatic golf. The Car stats Jerking when changing gears especially from second to third gear whats the problem?

You may need a tune up . When was the last time you changed plug wires and had a decent tune up that will cause a vehicle to jerk when reaching higher gears the more strain on the engine the more it will jerk!!!

Golf 4, 2 ltr cuts off when warm and writes emissions but on the diagnostics machine theres nothing .any help

If this is a golf then check the temperature sensors as on the housing front right of the engine are two sensors and the back one controls the autochoke which is causing the high emmisions and sometimes cuts the engine out as it chugs like the choke is on like a old vehicle with a manual choke cable

Hi,
Are you able to tell me where the loud banging sound is coming from?
Also when this bang happens does the car react in anyway?
Let me know and we can try to get a solution sorted for you.
Thanks

Hi, just a random idea: are all the cables to the plugs okay? If there is no ignition, the problem could be there.

Hi. i have a 2004 2.0 gt fsi and it sounds like a diesel

the FSI engine is a direct injection engine and they can be noisy particulaly on idle ,if you have no other issues like warning lights lack of power and its always been like it then i sugest it is the nature of the beast .this is not ******** i am a vw master tech and have had many a conversation with customers about noisy FSI engines.hope this puts your mind at rest, alternativly go to VW dealer and get them to take a listen to confirm its normal.cheers

Hi,
You will need "VAG diagnostic software" - (google it) on a laptop and a £15 VAGCOM interface cable if you want to do it yourself.
