Question about Cars & Trucks
I checked the fuses and relays and well the ones for my headlight low beams and high beams look ok but have like melted marks on them... yes i know they will have to be replaced cause of that but when i did replace them the lights still didnt work. im guessing its some type of short but how do i trace my head light wiring to find the break/short with or without a 12 volt meter
You will have to start with diagram color or numbers to trace it check the dimmer switch for abnormal function also make sure plug at back of headlamp switch is not shorted out

SOURCE: Low beam headlights don't work
I have e-mailed you 2 .pdf files, one is the complete headlamp diagram, and the other is the relay locations. Please advise if you need further assistance.

just remove all the connections as it could be malfunction in the switches and the wirings needs to be rechecked to make it proper.other option could be bad dimmer switch. You will need to replace the turn signal/ dimmer switch as an assembly.to replace you will need to disable the air bag, drop the column, pull the wheel

SOURCE: Headlights not working
If all fuses and bulbs are fine, it's probably a problem with the wiring harness. Take it to the dealer. Wiring harnesses are not something to do by yourself unless you're experienced with wiring on the specific car.

Did you replace the relay for the day time running lights which for some dumb reason is mounted under the front bumper? Climb under and look straight up and you should see it...mine was mounted in about the center (on the frame in front of the radiator. Sounds similar to an issue I had and it cleared up once I replaced the part...had to get from dealer still.
