Dave, The P0700 code is a generic fault code indicating the the TCM (transmission control module) has recognized a problem and the P0755 is the indicated problem. I'd recommend you check your transmission external electrical connector for water intrusion and corrosion at the terminals by disconnecting the connector. If nothing appears wrong, I'd then recommend you drop the lower transmission pan and take a look at the residue deposit that is laying on the bottom of the pan. You should only see a relativily minor amount of grayish, black clutch material residing there. Pay particular attention for a gross amount of this or any large particular material, including any metal, either filings or chunks, or any brass or aluminum. If this checks out to be fairly clean, then I'd recommend you replace that "B" solenoid (2-3 shift solenoid) and have the trans. pan and filter replaced.; I'd also highly recommend you have the trans flushed for anyother particular matter that may reside internally inside the transmission. You'll have to have the codes cleared and the transmission relearned for shift feel, at that point.

I recommend changing your transmission fluid to see if that helps solve the issue....

Otherwise, you may have to change the solenoid pack as the screen filter in it will clog, and stick the solenoids.

SOURCE: my ram 1500 5.2 motor give a code p1391 what is

P1391 - Intermittent loss of CMP or CKP.

Generally, this code will indicate that the crankshaft sensor is faulty. The sensor is mounted in a fixed position in the engine block. The tip of the sensor protrudes into the crankcase at a distance of 0.05 plus or minus 0.02 inch from the crankshaft. I would check the wiring harness for loose connections. Inspect the trigger wheel behind the crankshaft pulley and the sensor for damage. replace if needed.

If a crank or cam sensor fails, the engine will not start. both of these sensor circuits can be checked with a voltmeter or lab scope. If the sensors are receiving the correct amount of voltage and have good low-resistance ground circuits, their output should be a pulsing digital signal or voltmeter reading while the engine is cranking.

If any of these conditions do not exist, the circuit needs to be repaired or the sensor needs to be replaced. The location of the Cam shaft sensor will be mounted on the distributor. Use the sensors terminals for testing. Over 7 volts is ok, but anything below that at the sensor will indicate that the sensor wires are bad. If the voltage is low at the PCM, the PCM is suspect.

P0700 code is a generic code for Transmission Control System Malfunction

P1776 code means your solenoid switch valve is stuck in low reverse. (DTC 47) A stuck solenoid switch valve is a common occurrence in the valve body of the Dodge 41te transmission.

The first step would be to check the wiring to the solenoid from the TCM, then maybe try a new solenoid pack if the wiring is determined to be fine.

P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction OBD-II Trouble Code Technical Description Article by Dale Toalston ASE Certified Technician Transmission Control System TCS Malfunction What does that mean? Many vehicles have a control module for the automatic transmission called a transmission control module (TCM). The engine control module (ECM) communicates with the TCM to monitor the automatic transmission for faults. If the TCM detects a fault in the automatic transmission and sets a transmission related fault code, the ECM is informed of this also and sets a P0700 in the ECM memory. This illuminates the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) to let the driver know there is a problem. If this code is present and the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) is illuminated that basically means there is at least one transmission code set in the TCM's memory. P0700 is an informational code only. It doesn't point to a direct fault in the engine, only a general fault in the transmission. More diagnosis is necessary to identify what the transmission fault is. This requires a scan tool that will communicate with the transmission module. Symptoms Symptoms of a P0700 DTC may include: Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination The transmission may exhibit drivability problems like slipping, etc. Causes More often then not, the cause of this code is that there is a transmission problem of some kind. The TCM detected the problem and set a code. P0700 means that a fault code is stored in the TCM. However this doesn't rule out the possibility of a failed PCM or TCM (unlikely). Possible Solutions For a P0700 the only real solution is to acquire a scan tool that will communicate with the transmission control module. Extracting this code from the TCM will be the first step in repairing the fault in the transmission. If the TCM compatible scan tool will not communicate with the Transmission Control Module then that is a good indication that there may be a fault with the TCM itself. With all these codes present , without looking under the hood , I would think you have a wiring harness problem ! I have seen critters make nests in the engine compartment , they like to chew wiring ! Have seen air filter boxes full of dog food . Good luck your going to need it !

P320

What engine?

P0320 and P1391 are crank sensor codes. The symptoms you have certainly point towards one possibly going bad.

if this is a 4.0 straight six you can find the crank sensor on the drivers side of the transmission where it blots up to the engine on the top side. If you look in between the intake and the firewall you should be able to locate the harness and follow it to the sensor. The sensors are relatively inexpensive and would be an excellent start.

My 2002 pt cruiser check engine light came on today i took it to auto zone they hooked up a computer and it came back with 2 codes wrong a p0700 and a p0740 what does this mean and is it expensive to fix

P0700 simply means there is a fault code present in the transmission module (TCM). P0740 Torque converter clutch circuit. This is usually caused by a worn out torque converter clutch which would involve replacing the torque converter and yes it would be expensive to repair if that is the cause. Diagnosis is usually made with a scanner and other equipment.

Car is still drivable, but code P0700 is coming up... is this repairable??

The p0700 is a generic code for a transmission issue. If there is a Auto Zone around your area, have the car scanned for any DTC codes since it's free of charger there. Check the transmission fluid level after going for a drive to warm it up. Make sure that the transmission fluid is not low and that it's not burnt. If your due for a transmission service, take it to a transmission shop to have the transmission fluid and filter changed. Ask them to hook up the tech 2 scanner on the car to look for any DTC codes that indicates why the P0700 was triggered. Good luck and hope this helps, most transmission shop will scan for free of charger if your getting the transmission serviced there. Keep me posted, be glad to help.
