Two codes coming up on car even after fixing alot on car now need to figure out low cost ways to fix P0744 & P0722 code issues spent 1,800 on car & have spent 1,400 already in parts & labor.

you need a better mechanic that traces ALL of the possibilities of each code, not just read the code and trow in a part hoping that it's fixed ~ it can be wiring as well, not just plug in a new part as mentioned on the 2nd trouble code to the vehicle speed sensor

P0744 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Intermittent

P0722 Output Speed Sensor No Signal

the first of the 2 looks to be more intensive to trace and find out the problem & the 0722 is the easier job for an intermediate mechanic to trace the wiring for continuity

My 2005 Nissan Altima 3.5 is idling at 800 rpm's, and my service engine soon light came on. The code read for a Chrysler? P1283, and Fuel pump module detected an incorrect low idle, low idle select...

Make sure you are looking up the code properly. 1283 for Nissan indicates a lean condition on bank 2. See link below. A vacuum leak is likely, but make sure the new sensor is recalibrated. Did you perform the relearn procedure after replacing the sensor? If not, see the second link below. If you ran the relearn procedure and cleared all codes but 1283 comes back, look for a loose vacuum line or leaky intake manifold gaskets. What does a Chrysler product have to do with this fault code, please explain. The meaning of the code is that bank 1 O2 sensor is defective.

2005 nissan almera,1.5letre.. fault code po725

P0725 NISSAN - Engine Speed Signal

The P0725 Codes is triggered when TCM does not receive the engine speed signal from ECM.

The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors the engine speed through the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor with the engine running, and send signal to the Transmission Control Module (TCM).

Symptoms:
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)

Possible causes:
- Open or shorted CKP sensor circuit condition
- Poor CKP sensor electrical connection
- Check communication error between the ECM and TCM
- Failed CKP Sensor

Possible solution:
Very common problem with Nissan vehicles, usually replacing the Crankshaft Position sensor takes care of the problem.

Keep us updated.

I have an engine code u1000 for my 2005 nissan altima. whats that mean?

basically that is a communication code between one or more computers

you need a dealer scan tool or something similar like the $8000 snap-on scanner to verify which computers are suspect and a DVOM to measure voltage on the communication circuits between the suspect computers

long story short.... this is a job for a select few technicians.... your best bet, depending on where you live.... is the dealer
